• Šipka Caves - national natural heritage area
  A small cave of enormous significance, as far as archaeological findings are concerned. In 1880s, K. Mašek discovered a jowl fraction of a Neanderthal child (40,000 years old), Paleolithic stone tools, and bones of numerous animals, mainly cave bears.

• Kněhyně - Čertův mlýn - national nature conservation area
  The largest nature preserve of the Beskids consists of wide surroundings of the hills Kněhyně and Čertův Mlýn. Local original mountain spruce forest is situated on windward slope and is significantly marked by pollution from the industrial region of Ostrava.

• Pulčín - Hradisko - national nature conservation area
  The main part of sandstone rocks Pulčínské skály consists of a steep rock cliff. There was a castle standing on its edge, abandoned already in 1517 and reminded only by a staircase cut in the rock called Ludmila's. • Radhošť - national nature conservation area
  The nature preserve protects deep mixed woods covering top sections of the Radhošť massif. The area includes pure spruce woods, as well as beech-fir forest with ash, rowan, sycamore and Norway maple.

  Last remains of the original fir-beech wood in the upper reaches of Vsetínská Bečva. Local firs are up to 200 years old. Varied herb level consists mainly of wood sorrel, woodruff, dead nettle and others.
